My name is John McCarthy, I am the editor for the monthly newsletter of the San Francisco Old Timers Baseball Association. The SFOTBA was established in 1941 as a place for former baseball players to meet on a monthly basis to discuss the game and to create a social gathering for them to reminise about the game and fellow players. When it was established, there was a minimum five year wait to become a member regardless of who the player or petioning member was. In and about the middle 1980's the the wait was lifted and those that wanted to join could do so. The SFOTBA is quite possibly the oldest baaseball assoication of it's kind in the United States. What I'm looking for is other intersted baseball people that would like to share stories about the game that I can use for my monthly newsletter.

Does any of the SFOTBA guys have any history-stories to share about semi-pro baseball played at Fitzgerald Field in San Mateo.
Thanks
